Begich Tells Story Of His “Last First Date” at Alaska Storytelling Forum

ANCHORAGE- Mark Begich has a lifetime stories about his time growing up in East Anchorage, starting several small businesses while going to Steller, and being the youngest member to hold a seat on the Anchorage Assembly - to name just a few.
Tuesday night he surprised guests at “Arctic Entries,” a community storytelling forum held at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts. With the story of his “last first date,” the night of his first date with his now wife, Deborah Bonito.

Deborah and Mark have been married for over twenty four years, a run that started with Deborah and Mark spending the night dancing…and later fixing up a flooded apartment property.
