President of Alaska Nurses Association Affirms Support of Mark Begich for U.S. Senate

ANCHORAGE- U.S. Senator Mark Begich is honored to receive the endorsement of the American Nurses Association (ANA) for re-election to the United States Senate. In his first term, Mark Begich fought for Alaska’s nurses by supporting investments in nursing education, critical mental health programs, and fought to address Alaska’s nursing staff shortage.
The president of the Alaska Nurses Association touted the endorsement:
“I’ve worked in healthcare for 25 years, 17 of those years as a nurse. The American Nurses Association supports Mark Begich and so do I. Mark Begich understands the issues that healthcare professionals deal with on a daily basis and work hard for our interests, like safe staffing and mental health.
