Tell the FDA: No Frankenfish!

The Food and Drug Administration is reviewing the possible threats posed by introducing genetically-engineered salmon, so-called “Frankenfish,” into the marketplace. But there is no way they can know for certain what effect these mutant fish will have on natural salmon populations, ocean ecosystems, or even human health.

Mark Begich is trying to stop GE salmon, and he needs our support. Join him!

Dear Commissioner Margaret Hamburg, U.S. Food & Drug Administration:

These so-called “Frankenfish” — farm-raised salmon genetically engineered for super-growth — pose a real risk to ocean ecosystems.

Well-managed, wild salmon are one of our nation’s richest resources. Please do not allow genetically engineered fish to threaten that population.

Respectfully,
